Job Title: Apprentice Quality Engineer

ZipRecruiter is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Quality Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement quality control systems and standards, including ISO9000 and ISO14000.
  2. Direct and coordinate the company's quality control system, ensuring that all products delivered meet design intent and quality levels required.
  3. Work with development departments to ensure manufacturing aspects within the supply chain are considered at an early stage and pull new products through to manufacture.
  4. Research, source, and assess the best vendors to supply necessary products, working with design and procurement functions.
  5. Visit vendor facilities to review and assess their procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards.
Requirements:
  1. Relevant quality management, manufacturing, or engineering-related degree, or equivalent electronics degree.
  2. Strong working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD, as well as experience with Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
