Job Description

Rise Resourcing is seeking a skilled Apprentice Quality Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality control systems and standards, including ISO 9000 and ISO 14000.
  • Direct and coordinate the company's quality control system, ensuring that all products delivered meet the design intent and quality levels required.
  • Work with development departments to ensure manufacturing aspects within the supply chain are considered at an early stage and pull new products through to manufacture.
  • Research, source, and assess the best vendors to supply necessary products, and visit vendor facilities to review and assess their procedures.

Requirements:

  • An in-depth knowledge base of ISO 9000 and 14000, including implementation and maintenance of either or both.
  • An in-depth knowledge and experience of Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Lean Manufacturing techniques. Six Sigma is desirable.
  • A strong working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD.
  • A relevant Quality Management, Manufacturing, or Engineering-related degree is preferred.
