Job Description

As a Content Operations Coordinator at Channel 4, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely delivery of programme and film content to various platforms. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring the delivery of content to Channel 4 Streaming, TV, and secondary sales platforms
  • Coordinating and ensuring timely delivery of subtitles and audio description
  • Managing transcode and delivery volumes via our online service provider
  • Troubleshooting and fixing delivery issues (transcoding, delivering, and playback)
  • Performing daily platform surfacing checks for content and access services
  • Liaising with internal teams such as VOD Planning, VOD Rights, VOD Compliance, and Programme Management
  • Coordinating late deliveries and ensuring content is delivered as quickly as possible
  • Programme Logging – identifying part breaks in acquired content for submission to Channel 4 Streaming
  • Monitoring our Live2VOD delivery solution
  • Monitoring live streamed events with our live streaming platform provider
  • Providing content schedules to 3rd party platforms and internal stakeholders
  • Fielding internal and external inquiries and following up as necessary
  • Actioning urgent content revokes, ensuring content is taken down in a timely manner
  • Fielding post-delivery viewer queries around video, metadata, image, subtitle, and AD issues
  • Fielding enquiries from viewers via the Viewer Enquiries team and following up as necessary
Essential Experience and Skills:
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Operational coordination experience
  • Collaborative and self-motivational
  • Ability to troubleshoot and think outside the box
  • Experience working to tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
  • High level of communication and customer service regarding content deadlines
Hybrid Working:

Channel 4 operates a 60/40 working pattern, equating to three office days per week. This allows for a regular pattern of home and office working days, with the flexibility to decide where to spend the remaining working week. All our offices are open five days a week.
