About the Role

We are seeking an outstanding individual to take up the post of Lecturer in Video & Visual Media. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for teaching video and visual media design and production, across projects and activities that include video for theatre and opera, video for immersive events, installations, concerts and other settings; screen drama; and AR/VR/XR work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach design processes, content creation, workflow models, and production realisation (including specification and fit-up of projection and display systems as relevant)
  • Supervise students undertaking production and project work, and overseeing safe working practices
  • Contribute to wider teaching, tutoring and assessment activities in the department
  • Represent your discipline in the public domain through professional/industry sector engagement, consultancy, and/or research
About the Department

The Video & Visual Media Lecturer works predominantly on the BA Digital Design & Production programme and on the Theatre Technology pathway of the BA Production Arts programme. Our students learn through studio-based and workshop-based activities, study and intensive production and practice. They have opportunities to extend their knowledge by working on pathways other than their major area of study, and to develop their own interests and creative agency through independent projects.
