About the Role

Kenna Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Controller to join our team. As a key member of our construction industry client, you will be responsible for managing project-related documents, ensuring seamless communication among team members, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain project documentation, including project plans, blueprints, vendor contracts, and drawings.
  • Collaborate with the Design Manager and Project Manager to ensure design administration runs smoothly and is up-to-date.
  • Perform data entry tasks and create reports for construction managers.
  • Ensure documentation is safe, backed up, and easily accessible.
  • Work closely with the design team and subcontractors to resolve design issues and queries.
  • Manage design information, including drawings, RFIs, tech subs, and sample schedules.
  • Assist the Project Leader in gathering data for monthly progress and forecast reports.
  • Liaise with the Project Lead and Design Manager on coordination of O&M manuals.
  • Provide regular reporting and feedback to senior managers on documentation issues.
  • Ensure procedures are implemented to meet BMS and other documentation requirements.
  • Identify contractual requirements related to document control.
  • Create and customize forms and schedules for site-specific operations.
  • Process documentation accurately and efficiently for internal and external teams.
  • Produce reports for department teams on a weekly or monthly basis.
  • Manage the Asite and DocHosting project workspace and action requests.
  • Assist in resolving Asite problems with contractors and design team members.
  • Support the technical and commercial teams in producing tender packages and issuing documents on Asite.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including scanning, copying, and distributing documents.

Requirements

  • Construction site-based experience, preferably from a residential background.
  • Asite knowledge is essential.
  • Experience in implementing information management strategies at project, regional, or group levels.
