Model Risk Officer, VP/Director

As a Model Risk Officer, VP/Director at SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of model risk across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Model Risk Coordination: Collaborate with central Model Risk Management functions and local RISQ Management teams to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
- Support to RISQ/GBR: Provide support to RISQ/GBR in their dialogue with BUs and SUs on model risk-related topics.
- Escalation and Communication: Escalate questions or concerns raised by local model users or management to central teams, and communicate good practices or guidance from central teams to local users.
- Regulatory Surveillance: Cooperate with local regulatory surveillance teams to identify new model risk themes, trends, or regulations, and participate in the preparation of gap analysis.
- Training and Development: Train local BUs and SUs on new tools, processes, frameworks, and rules developed by central teams.
- ALM Model Review: Support the local ALM team in their review of ALM models, in compliance with Group's best practices.
- Broad Understanding of Risk Management: Possess a broad understanding of risk management and model risk in a banking environment.
- Autonomy and Alertness: Demonstrate autonomy and raise alerts appropriately to management where required.
- Experience in Risk Management: Have experience in previous roles on risk management and ideally on model risk.
- Language Skills: Possess very good command of written and oral English, with some familiarity with French useful.
