We are in search of a Fleet Operations Manager to join our team on a fixed-term contract. The Fleet Operations Manager will oversee the compliance of all vehicles with current regulations and ensure adherence to St John Ambulance's fleet policies to optimize vehicle usage and availability. This role is fast-paced and requires supervision of the scheduling for all mechanical maintenance, ensuring the fleet remains operational and that all defective vehicles and equipment are repaired according to established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the scheduling of all mechanical maintenance and ensure compliance with fleet regulatory standards, including deep cleaning and equipment calibration in accordance with national policies.
  • Ensure that all defective vehicles and equipment are repaired in line with organizational policies and returned to service promptly.
  • Maintain the accuracy of all vehicle-related information within the fleet management system.
  • Collaborate with Volunteer Fleet Teams and Ambulance Operations to facilitate the effective delivery of fleet services within the designated area.
  • Ensure that all vehicles are equipped with the necessary supplies and that procurement is conducted in a cost-effective manner.
