We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Early Childhood Development Assistant. This role involves working one-on-one with a child who requires support with language and communication skills, as well as social/emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to the child, promoting their social, emotional, and communication skills

• Collaborate with the Autism Specialist and family members to ensure a cohesive approach to the child's development

• Develop and implement strategies to support the child's language and communication skills

Requirements:

• Early childhood education background or Intensive Behavioural Intervention training (IBI)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• CPR First Aid training and Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with children with autism or other special needs

• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
