Early Childhood Development Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Early Childhood Development Assistant. This role involves working one-on-one with a child who requires support with language and communication skills, as well as social/emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to the child, promoting their social, emotional, and communication skills

• Collaborate with the Autism Specialist and other centre staff to ensure a comprehensive support plan is in place

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with the child, their family, and centre staff

Requirements:

• Early Childhood Education background or Intensive Behavioural Intervention training (training can be provided with reimbursement)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• CPR First Aid training and Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a daycare centre or with one-on-one special needs support

• English as a first language (to support the child's communication skills)
