About This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Brewery Support Worker to join our team at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. This is an entry-level position that offers opportunities for growth and development within our production facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of our brewery and restaurants to the highest standards of quality.
  • Perform facility-wide housekeeping and sanitation duties, including sweeping, washing windows and walls, cleaning restrooms, and removing or sorting trash, recycling, and compost.
  • Effectively use mobile equipment, such as forklifts, articulating booms, and scissor lifts, as well as specialty washers and chemicals.
  • Assist with production needs in Brewing, Packaging, Warehouse, Quality, and other departments as necessary.
  • Respond to immediate support needs and maintain personal workflow to ensure easy handoffs to others.
  • Ensure personal safety, food safety, and quality protocols are followed.
  • Document facilities maintenance requests and execute minor facilities maintenance tasks.
  • Complete preventive maintenance on cleaning equipment.
  • Assist brewery guests by answering questions and providing directions.
Requirements
  • 1 year of previous experience in industrial cleaning or manufacturing preferred.
  • Basic literacy skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Effective communication skills required.
  • Ability to become certified and operate forklift, scissor-lift, and articulating boom (training provided).
  • Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as a member of a high-functioning team.
  • Understanding of when to escalate issues.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, and product specifications to maintain product quality.
  • Ability to read and comprehend Safety Data Sheets (S.D.S.) and label instructions.
