We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Brewery Support Worker to join our team at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. This is an entry-level position that offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow within our production facility.
Key Responsibilities- Perform facility-wide housekeeping and sanitation duties to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
- Operate mobile equipment, such as forklifts and scissor lifts, to move materials and supplies.
- Assist with production needs in Brewing, Packaging, Warehouse, Quality, and other departments as necessary.
- Respond to immediate support needs and maintain personal workflow to ensure seamless handoffs.
- Ensure personal safety, food safety, and quality protocols are followed.
- Document facilities maintenance requests and execute minor facilities maintenance tasks.
- Complete preventive maintenance on cleaning equipment.
- Assist brewery guests by answering questions and providing directions.
- 1 year of previous experience in industrial cleaning or manufacturing preferred.
- Basic literacy skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Effective communication skills required.
- Ability to become certified and operate forklift, scissor-lift, and articulating boom (training provided).
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively as a member of a high-functioning team.
- Understanding of when to escalate issues.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, and product specifications to maintain product quality.
- Ability to read and comprehend Safety Data Sheets (S.D.S.) and label instructions.
