Salford, Salford, United Kingdom Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled, and compassionate nurse to become a part of the Haematology Specialist Nursing team at Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. This role presents a unique opportunity to contribute to a team dedicated to providing exceptional, individualized care to patients facing various haematological conditions.

Key Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse Expert will deliver a thorough specialist service to patients with suspected or confirmed haematological disorders. The primary objective of this position is to offer expert care, specialized guidance, and support (including financial, social, and psychological) to patients with haematological conditions, their families, and caregivers. This encompasses a comprehensive patient evaluation, along with the planning and execution of specialized care. The individual in this role will serve as the primary contact for haematology patients from the initial assessment through to diagnosis and throughout the entire cancer journey, ensuring seamless coordination and continuity of care. The post holder will collaborate with all members of the multidisciplinary team, including the Primary Health Care Team, to provide specialized nursing insights and expertise on all facets of Haematology-Oncology. If you are dedicated to delivering high-quality care, possess a strong interest in haematology, and have excellent communication abilities along with the expertise to support patients through their healthcare journeys, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

By joining us, you will also gain access to a competitive benefits package, which includes a generous annual leave allowance, flexible working arrangements, and dedicated time for health and wellness activities, enabling you to achieve a better work-life balance.

Job Requirements

This position is open to individuals who possess a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled in a program that will lead to obtaining their full NMC PIN within the next 2-3 months. Please note that an NMC PRN PIN does not qualify as a full NMC PIN and does not meet the essential criteria for this role.

The NCA is currently unable to accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who have not completed all competencies required to obtain a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK, as we have paused our OSCE program indefinitely. For more information on how to achieve a full NMC PIN and be eligible for future vacancies, please refer to the NMC website.

To learn more about the advertised role and its primary responsibilities, please refer to the Job Description and Person Specification available under the supporting documents section. You can also find additional information about working at the Northern Care Alliance in the attached Candidate Information Pack or by visiting our careers website.

We understand that interviews can be intimidating, and the traditional interview format, which often includes unforeseen questions, can affect performance. Therefore, we are piloting a process where interview questions are sent to candidates in advance.

This vacancy is part of our pilot program, so if you are invited for an interview, you will receive your questions ahead of time. We will also seek feedback on this process to help our teams improve your recruitment experience.
