Job Overview

North East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) in the West Kent area. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the expansion of our services.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide leadership and guidance to the MHST team to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to children and young people with emotional and mental health problems.
  2. Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the West Kent area.
  3. Work closely with other teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and effective communication.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services and make recommendations for improvement.
  5. Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Relevant graduate qualification with recognized professional body.
  • Substantial experience in a CYP Mental Health setting or equivalent.
  • Experience in offering CBT therapeutic interventions within a CYP Mental Health Setting with children and young people with mental health difficulties.
  • Extensive experience of providing clinical and managerial supervision.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • CYP-IAPT Supervision course.
  • Managerial or leadership training.
  • Demonstrate the importance of good record keeping and working in line with local policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of MHST legislation in relation to children and adolescents and safeguarding procedures and policies.
  • Knowledge of risk management, ability to monitor and assess risk and act accordingly to ensure safety.
