About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated pharmacist to lead the development of our inpatient pharmacy services across the Trust. As a member of our senior management team, you will oversee the Lead Pharmacists for inpatient services and support the management of our Community Mental Health Team pharmacists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take operational responsibility for the safe, secure, effective provision, management, and strategic direction of all inpatient medicines management services across the Trust.
  • Implement and monitor inpatient clinical pharmacy standards and work closely with the Chief and Deputy Chief Pharmacist to identify service gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Manage the lead clinical pharmacists for inpatient services in the East, North, and West Kent locality and support the Advanced CMHT Lead Pharmacist by managing two CMHT Lead Pharmacists.
  • Ensure a high-quality, clinical pharmacy service is delivered to inpatients and their carers within Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT).
  • Provide professional pharmaceutical leadership and expert advice on all matters relating to prescribing and medicine management services to the Chief Pharmacist, Deputy Chief Pharmacist, Medicines Management team, individual services, and clinicians.
