Serco is seeking an experienced Offender Management Unit Hub Manager to oversee the operations at our facility. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for guiding and managing the OMU team to deliver a comprehensive service to all stakeholders. Your leadership will be essential in fostering strong relationships with external agencies while promoting a rehabilitative culture.

As part of the Offender Management Unit, you will work efficiently and professionally, ensuring that the department adheres to all relevant policies and procedures. You will also be expected to develop training programs and implement necessary changes as dictated by legislation, providing a holistic overview of the department's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with all OMU procedures, maintaining high standards of service delivery.
  • Manage OMU staff effectively to fulfill responsibilities related to prisoner risk management, including OASys reporting, Sentence Planning, and Public Protection processes.
  • Conduct supervision and assurance tests to guarantee thorough and accurate assessments.
  • Implement new processes in line with policy changes and ensure seamless integration into daily operations.
  • Engage and motivate staff within the OMU, providing necessary support and training.
  • Oversee people management, including performance reviews and absence management for team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in offender management or a custodial setting is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high level of computer proficiency.
  • Proven people management skills with experience in a busy office environment.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and understand the implications of tight deadlines.
  • A proactive individual with a commitment to fostering a rehabilitative culture.
