Global Derivatives Operations Manager

Role Overview
This role will be responsible for overseeing the global derivatives operations, including derivative trade management, derivative lifecycle management, collateral management, OTC management, private credit servicing, and securities lending oversight. The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to clients, while also managing a team of 10 and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the global derivatives operations, ensuring compliance with market, regulatory, and internal deadlines.
- Proactively evaluate the performance of retained and outsourced teams, using daily and weekly service delivery KPIs and KRIs to inform decision-making.
- Develop and refine quality processes to promote data integrity within the business, with a focus on continuous improvement and efficiency.
- Engage with secondary service recipients, including client service, investments, and operational teams, to ensure service delivery meets standards.
- Partner with the Head of Department, Senior Managers, and external partners to develop strategy and processes for managing middle office retained and outsourced activities.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in the asset management industry, with relevant experience in derivative operations and management.
- Extensive knowledge of outsourced service areas, including operational service delivery and client expectations.
- Industry awareness of regulations governing outsourced services.
- Experience in managing and overseeing 3rd party relationships and service delivery.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to relay information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to plan strategically and articulate messages to various audiences.
- Continued professional development to stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, methods, and best practices.
- Experience in managing multiple initiatives and projects within a complex professional environment, with a focus on delivering business benefits.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced management environment with multiple demands.
