Role Summary

As a Derivative Operations Specialist, you will play a vital role in the settlement and lifecycle management of over-the-counter (OTC) derivative products. Your responsibilities will encompass trade capture, reconciliation, implementation of new products, and troubleshooting. This position offers opportunities to enhance processes and collaborate with various teams within our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the settlement and lifecycle events for OTC derivative instruments.
  • Resolve trade and reconciliation discrepancies effectively.
  • Ensure accuracy in reviewing trade communications.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for trade-related inquiries.
  • Provide support to clients with inquiries and exceptional events.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions.
  • Maintain rigorous risk and control standards throughout all operations.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated understanding of OTC derivatives.
  • Experience in back/middle office operations within the financial industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, motivated, and detail-oriented individual.
  • Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Technical proficiency in Excel and SQL.
