Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Compliance Manager to join our team at Pod Talent. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and executing a standardized global trade compliance program, focusing on the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Trade Compliance Program: Develop and implement a comprehensive trade compliance program, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations and supporting the smooth and efficient movement of products globally.
  • Manage Inward Process Relief: Oversee the Inward Process Relief program, ensuring accurate reconciliation and compliance.
  • Conduct Audits and Manage AEO Certification: Conduct regular audits and manage the AEO certification process, analyzing and resolving compliance issues.
  • Assign and Review Harmonised Tariff Codes: Assign and review global Harmonised Tariff Codes (HTS) and manage SAP master data.
  • Support Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain high compliance standards and support continuous improvement initiatives, including trade automation and process optimization.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 Years' Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience in international trade compliance, with expertise in both import and export regulations.
  • HTS Classification Expertise: Strong knowledge of HTS classification, particularly in medical devices, within Europe and the US.
  • Global Customs Program Management: Proven experience in managing global customs programs and working with diverse, multinational teams.
  • Inward Processing Relief Experience: Direct experience with Inward Processing Relief (IPR) is essential.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Ability to analyze complex problems, develop actionable strategies, and implement them effectively.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications, with strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Trade Automation Experience: Experience with trade automation systems like Thomson Reuters OneSource is a plus.
  • Regulated Industry Experience: Experience in healthcare (medical device) industry, or another highly regulated industry desirable but not required.
