Position Summary:

An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a proactive and driven individual to become part of the Compliance division as a Trade Surveillance and Communications Officer. This position is well-suited for candidates eager to expand their compliance expertise within a vibrant and encouraging atmosphere. The Compliance division is compact, offering the chance to engage in a diverse array of compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assume responsibility for the trade and communications monitoring function for a regulated organization comprising brokers.

- Spearhead the execution and deployment of the trade surveillance framework.

- Analyze daily alerts generated by the SteelEye Communications Surveillance system, documenting and escalating concerns to the Compliance Head.

- Generate monthly summaries of alerts and escalations for upper management.

- Ensure that all business communications are systematically documented.

- Address inquiries from regulators or exchanges as required.

- Facilitate training and maintain daily interactions with brokers.

- Assist in the revision of Market Abuse Risk Assessments.

- Be ready to undertake additional compliance tasks with guidance from the Compliance Head.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

- The ideal candidate will possess experience from a regulated financial services organization.

- Extensive background in a communications and surveillance capacity.

- Previous exposure to a commodities environment is beneficial.

- Excellent writing capabilities with a knack for organizing and articulating complex concepts effectively.
