About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work as a Physiotherapy Team Lead Specialist within our multidisciplinary team at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust. As a senior member of the Physiotherapy Department, you will be responsible for the local management, service development, and delivery of high-quality physiotherapy care to patients with musculoskeletal problems.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Operational Management: Assist in the responsibility for operational management of the team, allocating and organizing the work of all staff to meet service priorities.
  2. Service Development: Optimize the effective and efficient use of clinical and organizational skills and resources to ensure that the service is highly responsive to clinical and local service priorities and needs.
  3. Performance Management: Work with the Service Lead to performance manage staff within the service, evaluating and dealing with competency issues as required.
  4. Staff Induction and Supervision: Ensure that all staff are fully inducted into the service, including the safe and competent use of all equipment used, through teaching and supervision of practice.

Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Physiotherapist who has a strong background in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Education/Qualification: BSc Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy, with evidence of continuous professional and personal development.
  • Experience: Significant experience in MSK and related fields, with supervision and training of junior staff and students.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Effective physiotherapy manual skills to assess and treat patients with neuromusculoskeletal conditions, with awareness of NHS and Trust systems, policies, procedures, and current changes.
