Job Summary

The post-holder will provide a comprehensive administrative service for the Complex Discharge Team based within our Complex Discharge Hubs. This role involves cross-site working on a 7-day rota, including bank holidays, to ensure the safe and timely discharge of patients.

Main Duties
  • Deal with complex information and ensure team members are aware of any issues.
  • Knowledge and use of various Microsoft Office software programmes, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and the Discharge Hub Management System (DHMS).
  • Prioritise the demands of the team, managing frequent disruptions and conflicting priorities.
  • Receive and process all referrals triggered by ward staff, uploading referrals to Eclipse (Birmingham Council System) as directed by managers.
  • Record and monitor information on the Discharge Hub Management System (DHMS) and other appropriate systems/excel sheets to ensure an auditable referral trail.
  • Provide intelligence on Complex Discharge Hub performance, interrogating, collecting/inputting, and maintaining various databases to produce spreadsheet reports.

Person Specification
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification and/or experience in an administrative environment.
  • Experience of working in an administrative environment, ideally in a Healthcare setting.
  • Experience of working with the public/customer service.
  • Experience of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
