Band 3 Complex Discharge Coordinator

Job Summary
The post-holder will provide a comprehensive administrative service for the Complex Discharge Team based within our Complex Discharge Hubs. All activities will underpin the safe and timely discharge of patients, as well as work to reduce patient length of stay.
Main Duties of the Job
To deal with complex information and ensure team members are aware of any issues.
Knowledge and use of various Microsoft Office software programmes, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and the Discharge Hub Management System.
To prioritise the demands of the team, managing frequent disruptions and conflicting priorities.
Receive and process all referrals triggered by ward staff, uploading referrals to Eclipse (Birmingham Council System) as directed by managers.
Record and monitor the above information on the Discharge Hub Management System and any other appropriate systems/excel sheets, ensuring the referral trail is auditable.
Provide intelligence on Complex Discharge Hub performance, interrogating, collecting/inputting and maintaining various databases to produce spreadsheet reports for the Complex Discharge Hubs.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
- NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification and/or experience in an administrative environment.
- RSA level II or equivalent experience.
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working in an administrative environment, ideally in a Healthcare setting.
- Experience of working with the public/customer service.
- Experience of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Outlook.
Desirable
- Experience of minute taking, preparing and distributing agendas for meetings.
- Experience of working in a busy environment.
