Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain effective internal communication pathways to ensure seamless patient flow.
  • Utilize the internal escalation process to address any delays or issues that may arise.
  • Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure adherence to our internal professional standards.
  • Monitor the transport process and identify any potential bottlenecks.
  • Act as the first point of contact for users of the service, providing proactive support and ensuring that patients and their relatives/friends are welcomed and oriented to the clinical area.
  • Collaborate with staff at all levels to ensure effective communication and teamwork.
  • Liaise with the Site Team as needed to facilitate smooth patient transfers and discharges.
  • Ensure that all staff are aware of any information that may impact safe transfers or discharges.
  • Promote timely transfers and discharges within agreed timeframes.

Person Specification

  • Good general education, including GCSE English and Maths A-C (9-4)
  • Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative environment
  • Experience of dealing with the public and customer service
  • Experience of working in a secretarial/administrative role with a proven track record of problem-solving
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to use own initiative and deal with unpredictable situations
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with staff at all levels
