We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team at Gleeson Recruitment Ltd. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in finance within a supportive and professional environment.
This is a temp-to-perm vacancy as there is an immediate need for a candidate to join the finance team, with the opportunity for the role to turn permanent and hybrid working. If you have processed high volumes of bank reconciliations and have strong Excel skills, this could be the opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Processing supplier invoices and preparing payment runs
- Monitoring and managing cash flow, ensuring accuracy in cash transactions
- Maintaining the purchase and sales ledger
- Supporting the finance team with ad hoc financial reporting tasks
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar accounts assistant role, with a focus on bank reconciliations
- A keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial data entry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards solving problems
