Senior Physical Vapor Deposition Specialist

About the Role
GKN Aerospace is seeking a skilled Sr. Physical Vapor Deposition Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical vapor deposition and experience working with vacuum chambers and machine shop equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support R&D Engineering with Physical Vapor Deposition coating projects and new product development.
- Assist with chemical flow coatings and preparation of samples.
- Coordinate with Operations to schedule Physical Vapor Deposition Coating testing.
- Perform physical testing of products and use machine shop equipment to fabricate test samples/coupons.
- Independently manage day-to-day workload.
Requirements:
- Associates Degree in physics or material sciences or 5 years of experience in Physical Vapor Deposition process and equipment.
- 2 Years of Physical Vapor Deposition/ Sputter coating and equipment experience.
- Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical literature/ specifications.
- Basic computer skills with general Microsoft Office knowledge.
