About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Commercial Contracts Specialist to join the Finance Function of our Toxicology business. This role can be based in either our Abingdon or Maidenhead office.

As a Commercial Contracts Specialist, you will provide international support for all markets outside the US (OUS) to achieve the Division's contracting, strategic pricing, and governance goals.

What You'll Do
  • Manage the contract workflow, including drafting, redlining negotiations, execution, and storage of customer contracts and relevant data protection agreements.
  • Lead the implementation of a contract review and governance framework in collaboration with commercial, finance, and legal teams to align with Division objectives.
  • Build and maintain a centralized contract master repository, ensuring timely follow-up on renewal dates and key commitments.
  • Coordinate and contribute to commercial contract reviews for new business opportunities and tenders.
  • Provide recommendations on contract clauses or escalate complex matters for legal review.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of key customer contracts across international markets.
  • Support Value-Based Pricing (VBP) and Gross Margin Improvement (GMI) initiatives.
  • Occasional travel to other Abbott markets may be required.
Required Qualifications / Profile
  • Previous experience in commercial contracting, pricing, finance, accounting, or sales operations is highly desirable.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working within a large, multinational corporation is beneficial.
  • Paralegal qualifications or other legal certifications would be an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Strong analytical thinking abilities with meticulous attention to detail and a results-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • The ability to effectively interact with key stakeholders at senior levels is crucial.
