About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at Illumina Lab Services. As a Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our clinical laboratory, ensuring that our team meets production targets and maintains high standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide line management to a team of clinical laboratory technicians, ensuring that they have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Plan and schedule daily work activities to meet operational needs, ensuring that production targets are met and quality standards are maintained.
  • Supervise the laboratory team on a day-to-day basis, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Guarantee full compliance with the International Standard (ISO 15189) and EH&S requirements in the laboratory.
  • Ensure that all team members adhere to existing Risk Assessments (RAs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions (WIs) at all times.
  • Recommend changes to team processes to improve team effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Identify training requirements that support individual development and maintain efficient operations.
  • Take responsibility for the efficient use of all laboratory equipment within the clinical laboratories.
  • Troubleshoot issues affecting day-to-day laboratory production, identifying rapid solutions to maintain targets and quality.
  • Contribute to overall team goals while maintaining individual output.
