About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager and Employer's Agent to join our team at Clearfield Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting Senior Surveying staff members in the delivery of Project Manager and Employer's Agent instructions.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support Senior Surveying staff members in the delivery of Project Manager and Employer's Agent instructions
  • Gain skills and knowledge to progress your career to professional status through support and structured training
  • Prepare Specifications, Employers Requirements/design briefs, preliminary documents
  • Prepare tender documentation for submission to contractors, analyze tender returns, and report on tender outcomes
  • Compile Building Contracts and Development Agreements
  • Assist with Contract Administration functions, including quality control site inspection visits and reporting
  • Chair meetings and prepare meeting minutes and records
  • Undertake interim valuation procedures and agree Final Accounts, including assessment of Extensions of Time and Loss and Expense Claims
  • Undertake end-of-defects inspections and reporting
  • Perform other duties reasonably expected in connection with Project Management and Employer's Agent duties
  • Promote consultancy services to potential clients
  • Comply with all Company policies and requirements of the Quality Management system, ensuring that the Business Management System and the Quality Management System is followed
Requirements
  • Leadership skills, including team player, self-motivated, and ambition to progress within an organization
  • Management skills, including operating to deadlines and prioritizing workload
  • Technical skills, including good construction knowledge, working experience of administering JCT building contracts, and ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project
  • Working knowledge of Workbench (training to be provided)
  • General skills, including holding a degree in Building Surveying or Project Management or equivalent, working towards chartership status with the RICS or equivalent, and ability to clearly communicate both orally and in written form
