Clinical Specialist Midwife Continuity of Carer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist Midwife to join our Continuity of Carer team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality care to a defined caseload of patients within a team continuity model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe maternity care for patients living in deprived areas, achieving health outcomes comparable to those with the best health outcomes.
  • Work in a clinical specialist capacity, providing care to a defined caseload of patients within a team continuity model.
  • Cover an on-call rota and provide intrapartum support for patients booked for care with your named team.
  • Participate in the Equity and Equality Strategy (2021), promoting safe maternity care for vulnerable populations.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve health outcomes that reduce maternal and neonatal deaths, stillbirths, and hypoxic-ischaemic encephalopathy.

Requirements:

  • Registered Midwife with the NMC for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Compliant with 3a Safeguarding training within health or interagency.
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge in Child Protection.
  • Awareness and Knowledge of the dignity in care agenda.
  • All-round midwifery experience, including antenatal clinic, postnatal, and intrapartum.
  • Evidence of Professional Development.
  • Able to evidence knowledge of the Child Protection processes.
  • Experience of caring for families where there are safeguarding concerns.
  • Knowledge of Domestic Abuse processes.
  • Ability to provide emotional support and care for women and staff in difficult circumstances.

Salary:

£46,148 to £52,809 per annum (part-time £36,918 - £42,247 per annum)
