Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

As a Cost Management Specialist at Kier Group, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing project expenditures from start to finish. Your responsibilities will ensure cost-effectiveness while upholding the highest quality and compliance standards.

Your duties may include:

  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates, budgets, and financial plans.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments to estimate materials, time, and labor expenses.
  • Oversee procurement activities, including tender documentation and assessment.
  • Track and manage project finances, handling variations and generating detailed financial reports.
  • Perform risk assessments, value management, and cost control measures.
  • Negotiate and manage agreements with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and quality benchmarks.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to guarantee project success.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior team members as needed.
What We Are Seeking

  • You possess a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • You have experience as a cost management professional, preferably within a main contracting setting.
  • You have a solid understanding of construction processes, contract law, and industry standards.
  • You demonstrate a successful history in cost planning, budget oversight, and financial reporting.
  • You are skilled in utilizing industry-specific software and tools.
  • You exhibit excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • You are detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
