Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Key Responsibilities:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing project expenditures from the initial stages through to completion. Your focus will be on ensuring optimal value while upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Developing comprehensive cost estimates, budgets, and financial plans.
  • Conducting feasibility assessments to evaluate material, time, and labor expenses.
  • Managing procurement activities, including the preparation and assessment of tenders.
  • Monitoring and regulating project finances, addressing variations, and compiling detailed financial reports.
  • Executing risk management, value management, and cost control initiatives.
  • Negotiating and managing contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and quality benchmarks.
  • Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to guarantee project success.
  • Providing mentorship and support to junior team members as necessary.
Candidate Profile:

This position is well-suited for you if:

  • You possess a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • You have experience as a quantity surveyor, ideally within a main contracting environment.
  • You demonstrate a solid understanding of construction methodologies, contract law, and industry standards.
  • You have a proven history in cost estimation, budget oversight, and financial reporting.
  • You are adept in utilizing industry-specific software and tools.
  • You exhibit excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • You are detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
