Key Responsibilities:

As a Quantity Surveyor at Kier Group, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing project expenditures from start to finish. Your expertise will ensure maximum value while upholding the highest quality and compliance standards.

Your duties will include:

  • Developing comprehensive cost estimates, budgets, and financial plans.
  • Conducting feasibility assessments to gauge material, time, and labor costs.
  • Managing procurement activities, including preparation and evaluation of tenders.
  • Monitoring and controlling project finances, managing variations, and generating detailed financial reports.
  • Performing risk assessments, value management, and cost control initiatives.
  • Negotiating and managing contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Collaborating closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to guarantee project success.
  • Providing mentorship and support to junior team members as necessary.
What We Are Looking For:

This position is ideal for candidates who:

  • Hold a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Have experience as a quantity surveyor, preferably in a main contracting setting.
  • Possess a strong understanding of construction processes, contract law, and industry regulations.
  • Demonstrate a proven history in cost planning, budget management, and financial reporting.
  • Are proficient in utilizing industry-specific software and tools.
  • Exhibit excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Are detail-oriented with robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
