Job Title: Instrument Technician

The Instrument Technician will provide critical engineering support to ensure the reliability and availability of assets at a COMAH registered site in Hull. This role involves collaborating with a team of operations, instrument, electrical, and mechanical personnel to uphold safety standards and optimize plant performance.

Main Responsibilities:

• Undertake maintenance, repair, and installation of Instrument equipment to ensure seamless operations.
• Interact with the maintenance coordination team and operations technicians to ensure effective communication and coordination.
• Conduct hazardous area equipment inspections and installations to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain awareness of procedures and regulations to ensure adherence to industry standards.
• Supervise contractors and provide on-the-job training to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.

Required Profile:

• Recognized apprenticeship and NVQ3 or equivalent to demonstrate technical expertise.
• ONC (HNC preferred) to showcase academic achievement.
• CompEX modules certificate to demonstrate electrical knowledge.
• BS7671 IET Requirements for Electrical Installation certificate preferred to demonstrate electrical installation expertise.
• Experience in maintenance and installation of Instrument systems to demonstrate practical skills.

Performance Indicators:

• Achievement of plant reliability targets to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintenance costs within budget to ensure financial efficiency.
• Timely completion of statutory inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Training and production targets met to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
