Job Title: Process Instrumentation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Process Instrumentation Specialist to join our team at Hudson Shribman. As a key member of our engineering services company, you will be responsible for managing instrumentation design and consultancy projects from point of sale to site commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage instrumentation design and consultancy projects
  • Develop functional requirements specifications for control systems, SIS, F&G, and instrumentation
  • Develop instrument databases
  • Participate in design reviews, including HAZOP/LOPA, hazardous area, etc.
  • Specify a wide range of process instrumentation
  • Perform calculations for intrinsic safety, SIL verification, flow meter sizing, valve sizing, thermowells, etc.
Requirements:
  • HNC/HND/degree qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent level of engineering experience
  • Several years of experience within an instrumentation role within the process industries
  • Ability to conduct site surveys and brownfield verification of existing control systems and field instrumentation
  • Familiarity with ATEX/IECEx equipment and awareness of National & International Standards for Hazardous Area Equipment
  • Experience in the planning and delivery of technical projects
  • Current UK driving license
  • TUV Functional Safety certification preferred
