Position Overview

We are pleased to announce an opportunity to become a part of the medical staff at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as a Foundation Year Medical Practitioner. This role is designed for junior medical professionals seeking to enhance their clinical skills and gain valuable experience within the NHS framework.

Key Responsibilities

The role entails working up to 40 hours per week without any on-call responsibilities, with options for part-time positions available. The successful candidate will rotate through various medical specialties, primarily working in wards under the supervision of experienced consultants, providing care for patients with diverse medical conditions.

Each practitioner will be assigned a clinical supervisor and is encouraged to maintain a comprehensive portfolio of their experiences. Participation in essential activities such as audits, mortality reviews, and patient safety initiatives is highly encouraged.

The position allows for study leave and educational opportunities, including attendance at Foundation Year training sessions, contingent upon departmental staffing requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Qualifications:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council
