About the Role
Astute's Power division is collaborating with a prominent Energy organization in the UK to recruit a Senior Controls and Instrumentation Project Engineer for its nationwide asset management team.

Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary of up to £84,000, along with private medical insurance and a performance-based bonus.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Asset Support & Outage Team Leader, your primary duties will include:

  • Leading and executing projects and outages while effectively managing stakeholders across the organization to ensure adherence to processes and compliance.
  • Conducting both proactive and reactive tasks, including troubleshooting, problem resolution, and investigations across various process plants and systems to support performance metrics.
  • Demonstrating the ability to lead project teams based on the complexity of projects.
  • Defining scopes of work and developing technical and contractual specifications.
  • Establishing and ensuring contractor Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
  • Promoting a culture of health, safety, environmental stewardship, and quality, while actively seeking improvements in these areas.

Qualifications
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • A HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline, such as Controls and Instrumentation Engineering (essential).
  • NEBOSH certification (essential).
  • Experience in project management and overseeing teams of engineers and contractors throughout project lifecycles.
  • Familiarity with Functional Safety (IEC61508/61511) and Cyber Security for Industrial and Control Systems (OG86).
  • Willingness to travel within the UK as necessary, with the option to work from home when not traveling.

Salary and Benefits Overview
The Senior C&I Project Engineer position offers a starting salary of up to £84,000, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package that includes private medical coverage, a bonus structure, and a 12% employer pension contribution.
