About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Receptionist and Administrator at The Muswell Hill Practice. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients and ensuring the smooth running of our reception area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Front Desk Operations
    • Manage patient bookings and appointments
    • Deal with patient inquiries and provide accurate information
    • Operate the telephone system and transfer calls as needed
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Process patient payments and record transactions
    • File correspondence and maintain patient records
    • Scanning and sorting incoming mail and documents
  • Team Support
    • Work collaboratively with the Practice Manager and Lead Receptionist to achieve team goals
    • Provide support to other team members as needed
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure a safe and clean working environment
    • Report any potential hazards or risks to the Practice Manager
  • Confidentiality and Data Protection
    • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
    • Comply with Practice policies and procedures regarding data protection

Requirements

  • Education
    • GCSE or equivalent qualification
  • Experience
    • 1 year of customer service experience
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Basic computer skills and knowledge of administrative software

Working Hours

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a rota system of morning and evening shifts

Salary

£11.95 per hour, rising to £12.35 per hour following successful completion of probation

Holiday Entitlement

4 working weeks per year, rising to 5 weeks after 5 years
