Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Director, the Customer Relations and Sales Support Specialist will play a crucial role in assisting the company's customer service and business development efforts, ensuring effective management of customer accounts.

This position is designed to promote exceptional customer support by fostering robust customer relationships, delivering high-quality service, and adhering to company protocols to meet both customer needs and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all sales administration tasks related to incoming sales inquiries and onboarding new clients.
  • Creating electronic sales and production orders.
  • Calculating required material quantities and generating corresponding purchase orders.
  • Applying agreed pricing structures to sales orders.
  • Maintaining controlled documentation.
  • Accurately managing specification documents.
  • Monitoring stock levels.
  • Participating in production meetings to uphold customer service standards.
  • Managing customer service processes and forecasts.
  • Providing requested customer information, such as stock reports.
  • Conducting customer visits, both on-site and off-site.
  • Addressing customer inquiries directly and effectively resolving service issues.
  • Managing the escalation of customer queries as necessary.
  • Coordinating with the supply chain network.
  • Resolving invoice discrepancies.
  • Working towards monthly targets aligned with agreed profit margins.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of all customer service data for management reporting.
  • Collaborating closely with the Accounts team for precise reporting.
  • Adhering to company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations at all times.


Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in customer-facing roles or administration.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing customer accounts.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems is advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to follow intricate processes and procedures.
  • Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Capacity to operate effectively and adapt within a fast-paced environment while maintaining standards.
  • Flexibility to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Proficient IT skills, particularly in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Educational qualifications - Minimum GCSE Level or Equivalent (Maths & English).


Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, standard office hours.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and can be discussed during the application process.
