Specialist Mental Health Practitioner

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Mental Health Practitioner to join our esteemed team.
In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health support to children and young people within our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering evidence-based interventions and fostering positive outcomes for our service users.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough mental health assessments, utilizing your clinical acumen to understand the unique needs of each child or young person.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating a range of therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Family Therapy.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, educators, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic support for our service users and their families.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records, adhering to all relevant legal and ethical guidelines.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of our CAMHS services through participation in clinical supervision and professional development activities.
To excel in this role, you will possess:
- A recognized qualification in a relevant healthcare profession (e.g., Social Work, Nursing, Allied Health Professional).
- Current registration with the appropriate professional body (HCPC, NMC, Social Work England).
- Significant post-qualification experience working within a CAMHS or child mental health setting.
- Demonstrable expertise in evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including CBT and Family Therapy.
- A strong understanding of child protection procedures and relevant legislation.
