We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team as a Medical Director for our Low Secure Rehabilitation Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a multidisciplinary team and provide clinical leadership for our adult mental health services.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership for the Low Secure Rehabilitation Unit and the 7-step down rehabilitation beds within Maple.
- Develop and implement clinical strategies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Collaborate with external agencies to ensure effective discharge planning and aftercare.
- Lead ward rounds and multi-disciplinary case conferences to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Develop and maintain close links with local CMHTs and other Trust services to ensure seamless patient care.

Person Specification- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- Additional clinical qualifications.
- Excellent knowledge in specialty.
- Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty.
- Makes decisions based on evidence and experience, including the contribution of others.
- Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA.
- Wide range of specialist and sub-specialist experience relevant to post within NHS or comparable service.
