We are seeking an experienced and dynamic psychiatrist to lead our team of clinical staff in providing exceptional care to patients in our Psychiatric Intensive Care Units and Acute Services. As a Clinical Leader, you will be responsible for fostering a professional and open culture that empowers our staff to deliver high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive treatment service that delivers a high-quality response to patients with mental health problems.
- Provide advice on psychiatric care and take overall responsibility for a defined caseload of patients.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and foster positive working relationships with stakeholders.
- Oversee the performance of Consultant Psychiatrists and ensure systems are in place to support appraisal and re-validation.
- Represent the business externally and raise the profile of our services.
- Approved Clinician status
- Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and in good CPD standing
- Current registration with GMC
- At least 5 years experience in an in-patient setting
- Experience of working in Psychiatric Intensive Care Units and Acute Services
- Ability to take independent clinical decisions and demonstrate clinical leadership
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice and MHA and MCA
- Effective communication skills
