About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic psychiatrist to lead our team in our female-only Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for fostering a professional and open culture that empowers our clinical staff to provide exceptional care.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong leader who can inspire and motivate our team to deliver high-quality care. You will work closely with our multi-professional team to ensure that our care meets the highest regulatory standards.

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive treatment service that delivers high-quality care to patients with mental health problems
  • Providing professional advice to the Senior Management Team and Board on key service planning issues and psychiatric clinical issues
  • Leading the CPD programme for the hospital and fostering a culture of learning
  • Representing the business externally at local, regional, and national level, raising the profile of the business and establishing working relationships with commissioners, community teams, and other key partners

About Us

Baldock Manor is a 40-bed hospital in north Hertfordshire that provides specialist psychiatric services for adults. Our hospital has two female PICU wards and two acute wards, providing care and support for women at crisis level with a severe mental disorder who require rapid assessment and stabilisation.
