Job Description

Job Title: Medical Consultant Psychiatrist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Medical Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Nouvita Healthcare. As a visible and influential figure within our hospital, you will work collaboratively with a multi-professional management team to ensure that our care meets the highest regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shaping the strategic direction of our unit, prioritising safe, effective, and individualised care for every patient.
  • Developing a comprehensive treatment service that delivers a high-quality response to those suffering from a range of mental health problems based on quality-assured evidence-based practice.
  • Collaborating with other clinical colleagues and managers to achieve shared goals.
  • Representing the business externally at local, regional, and national levels, raising the profile of Nouvita Healthcare and establishing working relationships with key partners.
  • Participating in quality enhancement and service evaluation projects, as well as undertaking relevant research for short- or long-term service improvement.
  • Providing input and advice on initiatives requiring a medical perspective, such as the implementation of recommendations from NICE or National Inquiries.
  • Experience of working in Psychiatric Intensive Care Units, Acute Services, and knowledge of current practices in in-patient Psychiatry.

Requirements:

  • Up-to-date knowledge of current practices in in-patient Psychiatry.
  • Experience of working in Psychiatric Intensive Care Units and Acute Services.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-professional management team.

Working Hours and Contract:

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, with a permanent or fixed-term contract available.
