We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring Psychiatric Consultant to lead our talented team at Baldock Manor. As a key figure in our hospital, you will work collaboratively with a multi-professional management team to ensure that our care meets the highest regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a comprehensive treatment service that delivers a high-quality response to mental health problems based on quality-assured evidence-based practice.
- Provide advice on psychiatric care and take overall responsibility for a defined caseload of patients.
- Foster positive working relationships with the multidisciplinary team and external stakeholders.
- Oversee the performance of Consultant Psychiatrists, identifying and escalating concerns about conduct or performance.
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to colleagues.
- Represent the business externally and participate in quality enhancement and service evaluation projects.
- Lead the CPD programme and foster a culture of learning.
- Approved Clinician status.
- Section 12(2) approved.
- A member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) and in good CPD standing.
- Current registration with GMC.
- At least five years' experience in an in-patient setting.
- Experience of working in a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit and Acute Services.
- Ability to take independent clinical decisions and demonstrate clinical leadership.
