We are eager to appoint dedicated and passionate Educational Support Specialists to join and assist our broader Special Educational Needs teams at Leigh Academies Trust. This position is ideal for individuals who have a genuine passion for supporting children, especially those with learning challenges, and also serves as an excellent opportunity for those contemplating a career in education to gain invaluable firsthand experience. Given the diverse needs of the students, the role includes assisting with personal care and medical requirements, such as administering medication, performing moving and handling tasks, and supporting students who may exhibit physically challenging behaviors. The role also encompasses aiding students during physical activities, including swimming, physical education, and outdoor activities such as community outings and work experiences. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive support and training from colleagues and educators.

The primary objective of this role is to assist our educators in delivering academic excellence consistently, with professionalism and enthusiasm.

This is a permanent position, comprising 31.75 hours per week (8:45 AM - 3:30 PM and until 4:30 PM on alternate Tuesdays), Term Time + 1 week inset, offering a salary range of £16,764 - £18,296 per annum (£22,714 - £24,789 full-time equivalent), depending on experience.
