About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Data Protection and Compliance Office, as part of our Risk and Legal function. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the office, including personnel, budgets, technology, and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Data Protection and Compliance Office, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement data protection and compliance strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide professional data protection and compliance advice and support to the business.
  • Collaborate with key business partners to drive compliance, particularly with data governance, data management, security, and product stakeholders.
  • Oversee and manage key data protection and AI-related programs and projects.
  • Assist the Data Protection Officer and Data Governance Officer as required.
Requirements
  • Experience in data protection and compliance, ideally in a senior role.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering data protection and compliance programs and frameworks.
  • Expertise in implementing and maintaining enterprise-grade data protection and compliance software platforms.
  • People and team management experience.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with all levels of management.
  • Industry-recognised professional qualifications.
  • Deep understanding of privacy by design within technology, particularly in areas of digital advertising and marketing, B2C customer management, analytics, and data science.
