About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CAMHS Practitioner to join our team at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Croydon CAMHS Keeping in Touch (KIT) provision, you will play a vital role in supporting young people and their families while they wait for CAMHS services.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the intervention and support development of the KIT provision, working closely with our Principal Clinical Psychologist and Assistant Psychologist. You will be responsible for assessing and reviewing risk, signposting and escalating as necessary, and contributing to the team's delivery of accessible and acceptable services to diverse local communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and review risk, signposting and escalating as necessary.
  • Contribute to the team's delivery of accessible and acceptable services to diverse local communities.
  • Reach out to young people while they wait for a service and review for changes to level of risk and/or need.

Requirements

  • Registered with Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Systemic Psychotherapist professional body.
  • Experience of receiving clinical supervision across a range of client needs.
  • Experience of CAMHS review and intervention for clients with a range of psychological needs of a complex nature, including neurodevelopmental conditions.
  • Experience of working with and addressing issues of diversity within local communities.
  • Experience of developing and carrying out research projects.
