We are pleased to present an opportunity within our Distribution Service Delivery Team for a Water Network Maintenance Operative.

In this role, you will be entrusted with the operation and upkeep of Severn Trent's underground water infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include maintaining our clean water network and executing necessary repairs on our clean water main assets. Additionally, you will conduct excavations on public highways and private properties.

Your commitment to customer satisfaction will be paramount as you address and resolve issues raised by customers and the public. Strong stakeholder management skills will be essential as you collaborate with various departments and our contract partners.

This position offers a diverse range of tasks, ensuring that no two days are the same. You will engage in the full spectrum of activities required for effective repair and maintenance services, including but not limited to: repairing and replacing existing water mains and ancillary assets, as well as laying and working on valves, washouts, and meters.

As our new Water Network Maintenance Operative, you will operate machinery on-site and utilize modern technology to assist our back office with data management, providing an excellent opportunity to enhance and diversify your skill set.

This role involves a rolling week shift pattern and requires outdoor work in various weather conditions. If you enjoy working outside and are eager to get involved, we would love to share more about this opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE

A full UK driving license is essential, as you will need to travel independently to various depots and bases.

In this position, you will be responsible for your own health and safety, as well as the safety of your colleagues and the public. Therefore, prior experience in safe working practices and compliance is crucial.
