About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to join our team at West Sussex County Council. As a Commissioning Manager, you will play a key role in developing and implementing commissioning strategies to improve services for vulnerable older people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on commissioning projects to improve services for older people with care needs
  • Develop and manage commissioning plans and budgets
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external service providers to deliver high-quality services
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of commissioning projects
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with commissioning projects
Requirements
  • Proven experience in commissioning and service development
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience
