GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team at a Special Educational Needs School in York, North Yorkshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach students with special needs on a 1:1 or group basis, adapting conventional teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Identify students at risk and implement the Behaviour Support System.
  • Mark and assess work, tracking pupil progress and collaborating with Teaching Assistants.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans, ensuring outcomes are met.
  • Work with Educational Psychology services, CAMHS, and Therapists to provide comprehensive support.
Requirements
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and 6 months experience in special needs or alternative provisions.
  • Experience teaching students with Autism or specializing in Autism.
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to complete one.
